8:30 am- Red Fort – We start our Delhi Same Day Tour from here. Standing like a gigantic landmark on the face of Delhi since 1638 AD, this amazing red sandstone made historical building served as the seat of the Mughal Emperors of India. This magnificent fortis on the UNESCO World Heritage Site. On 15th August, the Independence Day of India, Prime Minister addresses the Nation from this iconic fort.
9:45 am- Raj Ghat – This is the cremation and resting place of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father Of The Nation. Its calm and soothing air and lush green trees will truly appeal to your senses. Our Delhi Day Tour itinerary will smoothly cover all the major tourist places.
10:30 am – Jama Mazjid–This marble minaret studded red sandstone building with genius architecture is one of the most famous mosques of India. This ornate medieval building, built between 1644 and 1656 AD, is so huge that 25000 people can offer prayers at a given time.
11:30 am- RashpatiBhavan (Presidential Palace) – This Indo- Moroccan style architectured Palace was built to house the British Viceroy of India in colonial era. It’s a symbol of our colonial past and progressive present.
12:30 pm – India Gate–‘The Arc De Triomphe’ of India, its first stone was laid by Duke of Connaught in 1921 on the Rajpath road and today it stands proudly at the height of 47 meters. It was built to commemorate the loss of lives of Indian soldiers in World War 1 and various Afghan wars. Names of many war heroes are engraved on the walls. The ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’was added after the India-Pakistan War of 1971.

2:15 pm – Humayun’s Tomb–A popular tourist attraction of the Capital city, this interesting old fashioned building is the first example of the glorious Mughal architecture. It was built in 1565 AD by Bega Begum, the widow of Emperor Humayun.
3:30 pm- Lotus Temple–This beautiful and brilliantly styled sparkling white marble temple is in the shape of a lotus and is surrounded by nine water pools. The good thing about this place is that it represents the 4 major religions of India, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism and Buddhism.
4:45 pm- Qutab Minar and Iron Pillar– In 1193 AD Emperor of Slave Dynasty Qutab-Ud-Din Aibak commenced the building of this 73 meter high red stone ‘Tower of Victory’ and it was completed by Emperor Illtumish. This complex has a mosque named Quwat-ul-Islam.
The 7 meter high Iron Pillar isa marvellous scientific example of India’s ancient techniques of metallurgy. This pillar rust resistant and it dates back to 403 AD.
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm – You can check out the nearby local shops for various items.
